First, we gather the details and work with you to set a budget.
When a client calls to inquire further about our landscaping services, they’re often buzzing with ideas or explaining the issues they need solutions for—which is great! Our priority at this stage is to gather as much information as possible so we have a full understanding of what you may be looking for, including your desired goals and outcomes. From there, we help you establish a rough budget. This could be big, small, or somewhere in between. Either way, having an idea of how much you want to spend is the best way to ensure we can maximize every dollar and avoid offering solutions that fail to align with your desired price point.
Second, we work with you to define your style and map out a plan
Once we have all the information we need, we’ll schedule an appointment for one of our estimators to come out to your home. During this appointment, they’ll work to learn your style and start to map out a plan to help you achieve your goals.
How do they figure this out? By asking A LOT of questions. Such as:
What type of ground cover would you like (stone, mulch, etc.)?
Do you want any edging (natural, aluminum, or plastic)?
Which colors do you love, and which ones do you strongly dislike?
What’s your desired timeline for this project?
What level of maintenance are you comfortable with?
Do you like more of a clean look or an informal design?
Are there any existing plants you want us to keep in the new design?
Do you need help maintaining your landscape once it’s complete?
When you hire a professional landscaper, you expect to be thrilled by the result (as you should)! The key to achieving this is hiring someone who is keen on asking the right questions so they can truly understand your unique needs and style.
Next, we craft a design rendering to help you visualize your new landscaping
One of the perks of hiring a professional designer is being able to visualize your new landscaping before we bust out a shovel.
Following the appointment with our estimator, our experts put together a full-color rendering of your new landscaping based on the style choices and plan you mapped out with your estimator. These renderings are detailed and include information regarding what types of materials are being used, the type of plants, and other elements that are incorporated into the design.

From here, you can work with our team to tweak this design to ensure it’s exactly what you want. Once it has your seal of approval, we’ll send over an official proposal for you to sign so we can get to work bringing your new landscaping to life!
Something to note: Keep in mind, not every client is looking for us to help them with the design. Some people already have a clear vision for what they want and simply need the extra muscle to bring their ideas to life--we can help with that too! If that’s the case, you’ll skip this step (and a few of the style-related questions listed before) and head straight to the next one.
Then, we roll up our sleeves and bring your design to life.
